POLICE have appealed for information after several greens at Musselburgh Golf Club were deliberately burned with a substance.
The incident, which caused “significant damage,” happened at the Monktonhall course some time between Monday, September 21 and Tuesday, September 22.
East Lothian Police stated: “This has been a deliberate act using some form of substance which has burned the surface of the greens and will require extensive work, time and cost in order to rectify.”
The 13th green was particularly affected by the damage.
Anyone with any information is urged to contact Police Scotland via the 101 number quoting incident 0652 of September 28.
