A MUSSELBURGH man who repeatedly sent unwanted messages and made abusive remarks to his ex-partner has been told to be of good behaviour until his sentencing.

Daniel Scott sent electronic messages and attended at and entered the woman’s home uninvited in Port Seton over a five-week period last year.

Scott, of Pinkie Place, also attempted to obtain a key for the woman’s home by turning up at her relatives’ homes and asking for it. Following the continuous harassment from her former partner, the woman decided to call the police.

Scott appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court earlier this year and returned to the dock last Wednesday for sentencing.

Sheriff Adrian Cottam again deferred sentence but ordered the 27-year-old to attend an appointment at the Caledonian Men’s Programme and for a further social work report to be carried out.

Scott was also told he must be of good behaviour until his sentencing on November 12.

Scott carried out the course of harassment of the woman between October 12 and November 21 last year.
