Services from Glasgow Central station were disrupted by an ongoing police incident this morning.
National Rail confirmed a person was hit by a train on the railway between Glengarnock and Lochwinnoch.
Three services from Glasgow Central were affected including trains going to Androssan Harbour, Ayr and Largs.
Ticket acceptance was in place on bus services 38 and 904.

Bus service 904: Paisley - Johnstone - Howwood - Lochwinnoch - Largs.
Services have returned to normal following the incident.
British Transport Police have confirmed a woman was hospitalised.
A spokesman said: "British Transport Police officers were called to a stretch of track just outside Beith at 7.10am this morning following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended and a woman was taken to a local hospital.
"This incident is not being treated as suspicious.’
