A LARGE stretch of a Glasgow motorway is set to close over five nights from next week.
The M73 southbound link road will be closed overnight to the M74 northbound at junction 1 Maryville from October 5.
Essential resurfacing work will be carried out during the closures from 8pm to 6am.
The M73 southbound off-slip to Daldowie will also be closed as a result of the work.
Signed diversions will be put in place for the duration of the work as follows: M73 southbound Link Road to M74 southbound at M73 Junction 1 Maryville, continue M74 southbound to Junction 5 Raith off-slip, take 6thth exit on Raith roundabout to return to M74 northbound at Junction 5 Raith on-slip, continue M74 northbound and follow permanent signage for Glasgow or Daldowie off-slip road.
It will be carried out by Scottish Road Partnership (SRP) on behalf of Transport Scotland to maintain the integrity and safety of these routes.
However, works are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
