A PRESTONPANS man has been admonished following a court appearance.

Jamie Wood, of Prestongrange Road, behaved in a threatening or abusive manner during an incident at his home address in January.

The 43-year-old father-of-two was said to have been under “extreme stress” at the time and his behaviour that day had been “fuelled by alcohol”.

He had admitted the offence at Edinburgh Sheriff Court soon after it took place and he returned for sentencing last Thursday.

Sheriff Roderick Flinn heard that the self-employed builder had stayed out of trouble since January and decided to admonish him on the charge.

Wood admitted acting in an aggressive manner at his home on January 4.
