TRAIN carriages at Glasgow Central are set for an upgrade, as Scotrail begins work on the refurbishment of their Class 380s.
The makeover will see new flooring and seat upholstery installed, as well as repairs to existing tables and seats and a paint refresh.

Syeda Ghufran, ScotRail engineering director, said: “Since their introduction, our Class 380 trains have been incredibly popular with customers right across the country.
“This work to refresh their interior demonstrates our commitment to delivering the highest quality service, and helps make rail travel a more modern, comfortable and popular option for customers.”
The Class 380 fleet, which consists of 130 carriages, currently services Glasgow Central to Edinburgh via Carstairs, Glasgow Central to Ayr, Glasgow Central to Largs/Ardrossan Harbour and Glasgow Central to Gourock/Wemyss Bay.
