A STATIC speed check was carried out by police officers in Carberry following numerous complaints about speeding vehicles.
East Lothian Police said that the A6124 was recently changed to a 40 miles per hour speed limit – it previously had a speed limit of 60mph.
During the course of the check, which took place on Sunday, September 13, a number of drivers were warned about their speed on the road in line with road traffic legislation.
The day before, police were also contacted about quad bikes being used in the field next to Clark Avenue and Kennedy Grove, Musselburgh.
Officers attended and a male was traced and charged with the relevant road traffic legislation. Another person has been identified through enquiries.
The landowner has not provided permission to anyone to use this field for off-road vehicles and, therefore, anyone doing so is committing an offence.
