WOODEN seating at a popular coastal beauty spot has been damaged.
Hundreds of thousands of pounds have been spent on revamping the Dunbar Harbour Battery in recent years.
However, Dunbar Harbour Trust, which manages the harbour, was saddened to report it had been targeted by vandals.
A spokesman said: “We think you’ll agree the Battery has been a real success story for Dunbar Harbour.
"Sadly, some young people have taken to breaking and entering the vault, causing damage to the wooden seating area.
"Please call the police on 101 if you see any suspicious or anti-social behaviour at the battery or around the harbour.”
