A POP-UP park has been created outside Dunbar Leisure Pool.
Funding has been secured through the Spaces for People programme to create a small park on the grass area between the pool and Lauderdale House.
George Robertson, from the town’s community council, outlined the plans for the site. On Monday morning, he said: “This provides an area adjacent to High Street where people can enjoy their takeaway meals, ice creams, etc in a safe environment with social distancing.
“The benches were installed this morning by the East Lothian Council amenities team.
“Viridor were kind enough to provide additional recycling bins and we hope that people will make good use of these for the disposal of waste.
“The area is marked by sail flags which are visible from High Street.”
