A DRIVER was charged after his vehicle allegedly struck a man in North Berwick.
Police were called after a man was hit by a car on Marine Parade.
The driver of the vehicle allegedly failed to stop and provide details.
The town’s community council was made aware of the July 20 incident at its meeting on August 4.
A driver was traced and charged with failing to stop and with careless driving.
On July 23, in an unrelated incident, a man was charged with drink-driving on High Street.
A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
