CONCERN has been raised that a leaking roof at the Hollies Day Centre in Musselburgh would be “a major setback” to its partial reopening in two weeks.
Manager Liz Shannon said rain water was gathering in the guttering around the roof, which had been blocked by leaves.
She added that water was getting into the hall used by the lunch club.
“Two of the internal walls are saturated, which has happened before but not to this extent,” she said as she made a public appeal for help to clear the guttering, in the hope that charges could be held to a minimum, as the centre had been closed for the past five months due to the Covid-19 crisis.
