The latest report included new analysis of the deaths which have been recorded since the outbreak began and revealed that 92 per cent of deaths in Scotland between March and June involved people with a pre-existing condition with the most common condition identified as dementia and Alzheimer’s disease representing 31 per cent.

People in the most deprived areas were 2.1 times more likely to die with Covid-19 than those living in the least deprived areas.
