A POPULAR farmers’ market which has been running for more than 20 years is set to return to Haddington later this month.
Haddington Farmers’ Market, like many groups across the country, was forced to cancel a number of events due to the coronavirus pandemic.
However, with restrictions easing, organisers have a view to holding a market on July 25.
Val Shields, chairwoman of the farmers’ market, was pleased to say the market looked set to return but stressed that measures would still be taken to maintain public safety.
One-way systems, social distancing, hand-sanitising stations and stewards would be just some of the measures taken to ensure the event could go ahead in a safe manner.
The market takes place on the last Saturday of each month on Haddington’s Court Street from 9am to 1pm.
However, the event has not taken place since February due to the global pandemic.
