A NEW drive-in gig will take place at Strathclyde Park.

The event on September 4 and 5 will feature Carly Connor, Tom McGuire & The Brassholes and Colonel Mustard & The Dijon 5.

The first night will be dedicated to NHS staff who will get free tickets to the September 4 show on first come first serve basis.

Marc Taylor, of Scotland’s Theme Park, said: “The past few months of lockdown have been particularly challenging especially for NHS staff who have been under a huge amount of pressure. We hope that the Drive-In Gig is a way that we can thank them and for everyone to have an enjoyable evening of live music in the safest way possible.”

“We’re excited to bring our reimagining of the concert experience as well as some of Scotland’s most exciting live acts, including Colonel Mustard & The Dijon 5 to Strathclyde Park for a two night extravaganza that’s set to hit the right note for music lovers across Scotland.”

Colonel J.T. from Colonel Mustard & The Dijon 5, said: “We’re delighted to announce our next shows will be at the Drive-In Gig at Strathclyde Park in September. We’re looking forward to playing these gigs alongside our funk soul brothers Tom McGuire & The Brassholes and one of our favourite female singers in Carly Connor and her amazing band.”

“This is a fantastic chance to thank our amazing NHS frontline workers, as well as kickstart the music economy in our local area in a safe way with a very welcome return to playing live for The Dijon Family again.”

Tickets can be booked for both evenings by visiting www.scotlandsthemepark.com and will open to bookings at 10am on Monday, June 29.
