A MAN was taken to hospital after being assaulted by a group of youths in Tranent on Friday night.
Police were called out to the incident, which took place at about 10.45pm, on the town’s Elder Street.
The man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and, according to police, is “making a good recovery and able to provide details of the incident to police”.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “We are following a positive line of enquiry but ask that anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the incident to contact us on 101, quoting incident number 4188 of June 19, 2020.”
