YOUNGSTERS are being encouraged to come up with their own ‘memory map’, detailing their experiences during lockdown.

Children in Fa’side and Preston Seton Gosford wards are being urged to take on the challenge.

A poster outlining the memory map competition reveals that organisers are keen to see how young people are viewing, exploring and experiencing their local areas.

The poster says: “Document your memories of the past couple of months: What has been different? What do the streets look like? What has been particularly memorable?

“What have been your favourite places to walk to and explore?”

The competition is open to anyone up to the age of 18 who lives in either the Port Seton Gosford or Fa’side ward.

Winners will receive prizes including art supplies and outdoor exploration guides.

The winning maps will be displayed in Port Seton Centre.

Email entries to regeneration@eastlothian.gov.uk or drop them off at Port Seton Centre before July 1 and mark them for the attention of Daniel.
