POLICE were called to a disturbance at Seacliff beach near North Berwick on Saturday (May 30) after an alleged incident of assault.
It has been claimed that nearby residents were discouraging visitors from driving on the private road to the beach.
A man is alleged to have got out of his car and assaulted a resident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to the report of a disturbance at the entrance to Seacliff Beach in North Berwick, on Saturday, May 30. A number of people were spoken to in relation to the incident however no crimes have been reported.”
