ANOTHER man has been caught driving at almost 100 miles per hour on the A1.
The incident is the third of its kind to happen in as many weeks.
Road police officers were conducting checks on Sunday on the A1 near Gladsmuir when they stopped a 28-year-old man who was caught and registered as driving at 98 miles per hour.
The man was charged with the relevant roads policing legislation and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
Two other people have been caught driving at similar speeds on this section of the A1 this month.
On May 13, a 31-year-old female was recorded and caught driving at 95 miles per hour.
She was charged with the relevant road traffic legislation and a report was to be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
On May 6, a 21-year-old man was caught driving at 96 miles per hour.
The man was also charged with the relevant road traffic legislation and a report sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
