POSTMAN Johnston Craig features on BBC TV's Landward as the programme captures his daily rounds during lockdown.

Johnston, who is based in North Berwick, had to take a series of videos and selfies of himself delivering mails as well as capturing some of the stunning East Lothian scenery he witnesses as he carries out his key work.

And the team at Landward put them together to create a feature as part of a look at rural life during the coronavirus crisis.

Johnston, of Dirleton, a former vice-president of Prestonpans' Preston Lodge Rugby Club, said: "I took around 30 short videos, which were quite tricky with me having to do selfies with my camera. The only advice they gave me was not to film when it was windy and I did it during April when we had a lot of strong winds, so I was constantly having to reshoot or hide behind walls because the noise affected the videos.

"They've told me they have managed to put a piece together so I'll be watching with interest when the programme is aired."

BBC Landward is on BBC Scotland this evening at 8pm and repeated on BBC One Scotland tomorrow at 7.35pm and BBC Two on Sunday at 9.35am.
