ARTHURLIE will today unveil Andy McFadyen as their new manager.

McFadyen will make the move to the Barrhead club following a hugely successful spell in charge of Rutherglen Glencairn under 21s, which included lifting the SYFA Scottish Cup for the first time in their history.

The switch is set to reunite him with current Lie boss George Fotheringham after the pair worked together at The Glens.

Fotheringham will remain at Dunterlie Park as assistant manager with former players Ryan McArdle and Craig Palmer continuing as coaches.

Robert Kerr will also remain as goalkeeper coach for the Dunterlie Park side.

Secretary Jim Hannigan believes he is the man to lead them as they get set to make the switch to the Senior set-up.

Hannigan told Barrhead Sport: “We are absolutely delighted to be bringing Andy in from Rutherglen where he has been hugely successful.

“It is a bit of a coup for us.

“It is a really exciting time for everyone at the club and with the move to Senior football the sky really is the limit.”
