COMMUNITIES across East Lothian were out in force again tonight (Thursday) clapping for all of the NHS and key workers that are currently battling the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
Dubbed ‘Clap for Carers’, the event started last Thursday (March 26) and sees people clap from their window or front door at 8pm.
The nationwide initiative was held for the second time tonight.
Residents from several towns and villages across the county were taking part, some of which included staff from Muirfield Care Home.
Others saw bagpipes being played and in Ormiston, the local church bell is said to have been ringing.
Michelle Szebert and some of her neighbours in Prestonpans paid tribute to her sister Pauline, an NHS worker, before the start of her shift.
Our reporter Emma was live from High Street in Haddington where some local residents were taking part.
