AN APPEAL for witnesses has been issued by police after a man was spotted trying to gain access to parked vehicles in three parts of the county.
The incidents happened last night (Wednesday) in Musselburgh, Tranent and Port Seton.
The man is described as about 5ft 9in or 5ft 10in tall, slim build, dressed in dark clothing and carrying a rucksack.
Anyone who may have information in relation to these incidents, or who may have witnessed other similar ones, is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 0659 of April 1.
Local officers are urging members of the public to ensure that vehicles are secured whilst they are left unattended and that no valuables can be seen within the vehicle.
