COMMUNITIES across East Lothian paid tribute to NHS workers last night (Thursday) as they joined in a national ‘Clap for Carers’ tribute.

It aimed to honour those in the health service that are currently dealing with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The event saw households across the UK clap from their windows or front doors at 8pm.

Households from North Berwick, Dunbar, Port Seton, Prestonpans and Tranent were some of those in the county who paid their respects.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s three children George, Charlotte and Louis were among the famous faces who also joined in.
