COASTGUARD volunteers were called out yesterday afternoon (Sunday) after a woman injured her ankle at John Muir Country Park.
Teams from North Berwick and Dunbar were called out at about 3.40pm.
A spokesman for Dunbar Coastguard said: “A Scottish Ambulance Service land ambulance and the Special Operations Response Team (SORT) were also tasked.
“The casualty was packaged into a stretcher by paramedics and Coastguard personnel and extricated to the waiting ambulance.
“If you see someone in difficulty or something you are concerned about on the shoreline, beaches, cliffs, mud or water, call 999 immediately and ask for the coastguard.”
