SECURITY has been bolstered at Dunbar Cement Plant after a video appeared online showing a man filming himself walking about there.
Footage shows YouTuber Jaimieboy sneaking into the plant, which is to the south-east of the town, during the hours of darkness.
Oliver Curtin, plant manager, said: “We are aware of the video online of a person trespassing at the cement plant and the incident has been reported to the police.
“In the meantime, we are increasing security at the site with immediate effect.
“Cement plants can be dangerous places.
“Our employees and contractors undertake many hours of training and safety inductions before being allowed on site.
“No one should enter the site without permission, and we would urge people to stay out and stay safe.”
The video, which is still online, shows the man wandering about the plant and exploring different areas.
Footage shows him climbing several staircases and a ladder to reach a high point, thought to be on top of the tower.
