A PERSON has been struck by a train between North Berwick and Prestonpans.
Rail services are currently facing disruption following the incident.

ScotRail confirmed the incident and said there would be delays and cancellations.

LNER also said that disruption was expected until about 8pm.
⚠️ #LNERUpdate We are sad to report that due to a person being hit by a train between #Edinburgh and #Dunbar, all lines are blocked. Services running through these stations will be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes, or revised. Disruption is expected until 20:00.

ScotRail says the 18.17 Edinburgh to North Berwick train, due at 18.48, will terminate at Prestonpans.
The 18.29 North Berwick to Edinburgh train has been cancelled but an additional 18.49 service from Prestonpans to Edinburgh will run, due to arrive at 19.02.
Meanwhile, the 19.02 North Berwick to Edinburgh train will start at Prestonpans.
UPDATE: Ticket acceptance for LNER & CrossCountry passengers between Edinburgh and Glasgow/Aberdeen/Inverness where we can accommodate has been agreed.
