A PRESTONPANS man assaulted a supermarket employee by throwing bags of compost at him.
Vining Froude, of Jim Bush Drive, assaulted Gary Kay by flinging the items at him at the Tesco superstore in Musselburgh in July 2018.
The 20-year-old man also assaulted a 13-year-old boy by striking him to the head during a separate incident in Wallyford 10 weeks later.
Froude was in the dock at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Tuesday, where he pleaded guilty to two charges.
Sheriff Roderick Flinn deferred sentence on Froude to March 3 for the preparation of reports.
Froude pleaded guilty to assaulting Gary Kay, an employee, by throwing bags of compost at him at the Tesco Extra supermarket, Musselburgh, on July 27, 2018.
He also admitted assaulting a boy by punching him to the head to his injury at Salters Road, Wallyford, on October 12, 2018.
