A PUPPY has been missing in Prestonpans since Tuesday and an appeal has been launched to help find her.

The five month old pup is called Maggie and is described as a female white and beige Sprocker Spaniel.

She was wearing a collar with a pink tag and blue-handled retractable lead attached when she went missing.

Maggie was last seen in Rigley Terrace Park at about 4.30pm on Tuesday when she was spooked by dogs and ran off towards Redburn Road.

Anyone with information or sightings of the dog is asked to call either 01875 810654 or 07585665368.

A Facebook group has since been set up called Help Find Maggie and several people have been out searching for her in the past couple of days.

It is thought Maggie is still in the area she was last spotted.

Nichola Black, whose aunt and uncle own the dog, urges that people check their gardens and that those going out to search do not shout Maggie’s name and leave all dogs at home and she will be scared and in “survival mode”.

People are also asked to check shrubs and sheds.
