The Tyne Bridge is experiencing high winds
THE A1 was closed for a short period to drivers of high sided vehicles (HSV) at East Linton due to high winds in the area.
Drivers of HSVs heading northbound were advised to leave the A1 at Dunbar and follow the A199 around 4pm.
The restriction has now been lifted.
A caution of high winds on the A1 at Tyne Bridge in East Linton was issued earlier today (Sunday).
The Tyne Bridge is currently experiencing high winds in both directions.
Drivers have been advised to drive with caution in the area.
