A KEY route to North Berwick High School, Law Primary School and North Berwick Sports Centre will be closed for a week from Monday.
But, thankfully, school traffic won't be impacted by the closure of Law Road because pupils are on their February break.
East Lothian Council has announced that 220 metres of the B1347 Law Road, from its Grange Road junction to Clifford Road, will be off-limits to vehicles to allow carriageway resurfacing to take place.
The closure start from Monday (February 10) and runs until next Monday (February 17).
A diversion is in place (see image above) which utilises Lochbridge Road, Dundas Road, Lady Jane Road and St Baldreds Road.
Pedestrian and emergency access will be maintained throughout the closure.
The B1347 is the main route linking North Berwick with Haddington to the south and the A1 and the A199.
