A WEATHER warning for snow and ice has been issued for East Lothian.
The Met Office has issued the yellow 'be aware' warning, which covers the period between 9pm this evening (Monday) and 11am tomorrow (Tuesday).
It says that snow and ice may cause travel disruption during Monday night and Tuesday morning.
It adds that there could be possible delays on roads and to public transport, as well as the possibility of power cuts and a loss of mobile phone coverage.
Pedestrians are also urged to take care to avoid the risk of injury from slips and falls on icy surfaces.
The current forecast for East Lothian suggests temperatures will be hovering around freezing point tonight, with sleet showers gradually turning to potentially heavy snow showers in the early hours of this morning before easing off by about 6am.
