AN empty shop in Warrington town centre is set to be converted with four apartments created above it.
Plans have been submitted to Warrington Borough Council for the the empty salon on Lower Bridge Street.
Developers want to refurbish the ground floor unit and use it for retail but create two apartments on the first floor and two more on the second floor.
Planning documents state: "The development is located in an area with many vacant properties that need investment.
"The completed project would provide high quality town centre residential accommodation while retaining and improving
existing ground floor retail provision.

"This would restore a vacant town centre building to long term sustainable use and consequently improve the overall environment within and around the Bridge Street Conservation Area."
