The crash took place near Torness Power Station
AN OVERTURNED tractor caused significant delays on the A1 near Torness Power Station this afternoon (Friday).
Reports of the incident, which happened on the westbound carriageway first emerged at 12.25pm and a contraflow system was originally put in place.
Police were on the scene at about 1.15pm and temporarily held traffic on both sides of the road in order to recover the vehicle.
The road was fully re-opened in both directions shortly before 3.30pm.
