THE life of Scotland’s national bard can be celebrated at the first-ever Newhailes Burns Supper Drive Thru.
Visitors can drive into Newhailes Estate at Musselburgh, order a traditional meal of haggis, neeps and tatties with a whisky sauce, and go on to enjoy some entertainment in the comfort of their own car.
Also on the menu is a Tunnock’s Teacake and can of Irn Bru. Priced £6.50, there is also a vegetarian option.
Alternatively, haggis bon bons, skinny fries with a mustard mayo dip and Irn Bru is available for £6.25. Children can enjoy chicken goujons, skinny fries, Tunnock’s Teacake and Irn Bru for £4.50.
The event takes place at 3.30pm on Saturday, January 25, to mark the birthday of Robert Burns.
There is no need to book.
Newhailes is occupied and maintained by the National Trust for Scotland.
