A TEMPORARY road closure will be in place for Scott Glynn's funeral on Tuesday due to the large turnout expected.

The founder of the Walk With Scott Foundation passed away on New Year’s Day aged 56 and his family have welcomed the possibility of a big turnout at his funeral on Tuesday morning.

East Lothian Council has said it intends to close the U178 Newbyth to Lawhead road (U180) on Tuesday between 10am and 12.30pm to facilitate Scott's funeral at nearby Binning Wood.

There will be a one-way system access/egress to Binning Wood (see diagram below) for the funeral, which takes place at 11.30am.

East Lothian Courier:

Scott's son Gareth previously posted on social media: “Scott’s wishes were to be buried in Binning Wood with his devoted dog Charlie to once again walk wild and free.

“Everyone is invited to say their own goodbyes at the woods and join the family back at the Royal Musselburgh Golf Club afterwards.

“Dress code request please is club ties, Walk With Scott t-shirts or the brightest wildest colours you have, you know what he liked.

“Family flowers only but we will have a collection for charity if you would like to make a donation. Scott’s wish was that we give out an envelope of seeds to be scattered in his memory in a place you find special.”
