THOUSANDS of pounds were raised at this year’s Walk With Scott Foundation ball.
The ‘Scotters Ball’ took place at Royal Musselburgh Golf Club on November 16.
It was hailed a huge success by the Tranent-based foundation, which said it raised about £9,000 for local causes and projects.
Alex Hodgson and the Last Resort provided music, there was a special screening of the Walk With Scott Foundation’s new film about the work and history of the charity and also a raffle and an auction. Included in the auction were signed gloves by world champion boxer Josh Taylor and among the prizes were holidays and also a cooked and delivered Christmas dinner for 10.
Karen Kidd, who helps run the foundation, said: “It was a fab night. We sold a lot of tickets to Scotters and sponsors, and everyone got dressed up and they all looked great.
“Scott was able to attend and he even spoke for quite a while and chatted to people. It was great – it just means everything that he was there.
“We also had the good news last Tuesday [19 November] that his son Gareth had a baby girl.”
