A GERRY Cinnamon fan has gone viral with an online joke suggesting fans sign up to "chuck bottles" at the singer during his Hampden Park gig - after footage emerged at him losing his cool in London.

The Glaswegian star went viral himself last week after threatening to fight a yob at the O2 Brixton Academy in London on Friday night for throwing a bottle towards him on stage.

In shocking video footage shared on social media, he can be seen dropping his guitar and storm towards the crowd in the direction of the thrown bottle.

He then unleashed a foul-mouthed rant towards the culprit.

Now, poking fun at the outburst, hundreds of fans have vowed to throw their glasses at the singer when he performs his sold-out show at Hampden Park next summer, with the premise that "he canny take us all".

Around 400 people have confirmed they are "going" to the event with a further 1000 "interested.

The online prankster, however, makes it clear the stunt will not be carried out.

It reads: "Gerry Cinnamon vs 50,000+

"Disclaimer - they sell plastic bottles at Hampden, we don’t want to hurt him we just want to wind him up to see if he can kick 50,000+ people’s c***ss in.

"(This is clearly a joke, don’t take this seriously or big gezza will cave yer skull in)"

The incident came in the middle of his tour, which will see him head to Aberdeen on Saturday before coming back to his roots in Glasgow for two shows at the SSE Hydro in December.

He also announced a massive gig at Glasgow's Hampden Park, which sold out within hours.
