Baby, it's cold outside but it is about to seem a lot cozier as Glasgow's Christmas lights in George Square switch on tomorrow.

If you were wondering when the most wonderful time of the year is launched we have all the answers to the questions you may have about the event.

What time is it taking place?

Glasgow’s Christmas Lights Switch On events will be letting attendees enter the square from 4.30pm and gates will close at 6.30pm on Sunday November 17.

The official programme will begin at 6pm with the lights switching on at 7pm.

Can you still get tickets?

Tickets were allocated through an online ballot which was open until Sunday October 13 and is now closed. Unfortunately, this means no tickets are left to be allocated.

If you have applied for tickets, make sure you have checked your inboxes for an email from Glasgow Loves Christmas to see if you are one of the lucky 13,000 people.

But if you were not chosen in this year's ballot, there are plenty of other light switch on events you can check out. See our list for more events.
