A HUMBIE man has been found guilty of causing damage to a vehicle following a trial at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.

Michael Harvey, of Kippithill, denied the allegation of culpably and recklessly striking the vehicle at Kinwegar Recycling Centre in Wallyford last year.

Harvey was said to have smashed a window of the vehicle, causing glass to cover the driver of the vehicle, Paul Dobosz, to his injury and to the danger of causing severe injury.

The 57-year-old pleaded not guilty to the charge and stood trial at the court.

Harvey was eventually found guilty of the offence by Sheriff Alistair Noble and was ordered to pay a £100 fine as punishment.

Harvey was found guilty of striking the vehicle, causing damage and covering Mr Dobosz with glass at the recycling centre in Wallyford during an incident on January 20 last year.
