COMMUTERS on East Lothian’s railway line had to make their way home a stop earlier on Wednesday due to a disruptive passenger.
Passengers on the 18.45 Edinburgh to North Berwick train were told they had to disembark at Drem due to the passenger, who was removed from the train at Edinburgh Waverley by police.
British Transport Police confirmed they received a report at 6.48pm on Wednesday of a man being abusive.
The man was then removed from the train and left the station.
On why the train terminated at Drem, ScotRail said: “As a result, some amendments had to be made to allow services to return to normal as quickly as possible.
“The service terminated at Drem due to the length of delay caused by the earlier incident. This would be to allow the train to get into the correct position of its next working run, minimising knock-on delays and disruption.”
