Josh Taylor will be at The Prestoungrange Gothenburg on Saturday for a meet and greet organised by his family and the Prestonpans pub.

All are welcome to go along to the pub from 6pm till late and show Josh their support.

Diane Taylor, Josh’s mum, said: “Josh will be bringing his trophies and belts along to the Gothenburg to see everybody. It’s really a chance for him to thank everyone for all their support.

“I think it will be really busy so we can’t guarantee everyone will get in but we just feel that because he has that many supporters we didn’t want to put a number on it by making it ticketed or anything.”

Business owner Michelle Wilson said: “We’re really excited to have a meet and greet with Josh on Saturday in the pub to celebrate his win.

“It’s great for the locals to come along and be able to see Josh.

“The whole of Prestonpans is behind him so we’re expecting a big turnout. The last time we had a celebration in the pub for Josh there was maybe 160-170 people in and out of the pub on the day. This time we’ve opened up the whole pub for the celebration – the upstairs bar and function room will be open as well as the downstairs bar and there will be live music from local band Spike Island.”

Children can attend until 8pm.
