GREEN-FINGERED volunteers have shown they have got the golden touch after scooping two awards at a national awards ceremony.
Representatives from Blooming Haddington travelled to London last week for the finals of Britain in Bloom.
The team were first announced as the winners of the Gardening in a Changing Climate Award before going on to defeat eight other towns to be crowned the winner of the Best Town.
Entry into Britain in Bloom meant the hard-working team of volunteers were not entered into Keep Scotland Beautiful’s Beautiful Scotland awards, which took place earlier in the autumn.
