TWO men were killed in a hit-and-run road crash after two cars collided.
Police are now hunting the driver of the second vehicle, which left the scene before officers arrived.
Around 4.05pm on Saturday afternoon, a white Volkswagen Golf and a white Volkswagen Scirocco collided westbound on the B7036/Barony Road, near the Barony A Frame, in Auchinleck.
The driver of the VW Golf, Kevin Hall, 54, from Ochiltree, and his passenger, Douglas Murray, 37, from Auchinleck, died at the scene.
Their relatives are aware.
Enquiries are ongoing with regard to the identity of the driver of the VW Scirocco who left the scene prior to police arrival.
The road was closed for approximately seven hours to allow investigations.
