Police are investigating the dog's death
AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after a dog was found dead in a hot tub in Prestonpans.
A post mortem is being carried out on the pet, with a suggestion on social media that the dog had been attacked.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland told the Courier that a post mortem was being carried out to establish the cause of death.
Once the results of that are confirmed, it will be established if a crime has been committed.
She said: “We received a call at about 5.50pm on Tuesday to a report of a dog found dead in a hot tub.”
