THE body of a man who had been reported missing in Edinburgh has been found on a beach in East Lothian.
Stanislaw Zajac, 51, was last seen on Saturday, August 31, in Leith.
Police believed he might have looked to travel to the North Berwick area.
On Sunday, police responded to a report that a body had been found on a beach near Dirleton.
The body has now been formally identified as that of Mr Zajac and his family have been informed.
There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A police spokesperson said: "Our thoughts and sympathies are with the family and friends of Stanislaw Zajac at this time."
