Celtic have been fined £11,000 by UEFA after fan disruption during the side's Europa League clash with AIK Stockholm.

The away section was a sea of red at one stage in the match as Hoops supporters let off flares during the tie in Sweeden.

They were also handed the disciplinary action for throwing objects during the game.

The decision was revealed by the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body earlier today.

Celtic won the play-off match, which took place on August 29, 4-1. 

The fine issued for the two charges came to €12,500, which equates to just over £11,000.

The home side were also handed charges.

They have to pay €8000 (£7050) for blocked stairways.
