GREEN-FINGERED volunteers from throughout East Lothian have scooped top prizes at a glitzy awards ceremony.
Local 'in Bloom' volunteers use their time, effort and horticultural talents to add a splash of colour to their communities.
Keep Scotland Beautiful held its annual Beautiful Scotland awards yesterday evening (Thursday) in Dumfries, with East Lothian groups coming home with a number of prizes.
Scooping the top prize was North Berwick in Bloom which won The Rosebowl Award, beating all other competing groups, as well as winning the Coastal Town Trophy, the Community Horticulture Awards and a Gold Medal in the coastal town section.
Dunbar in Bloom also bagged a coveted gold medal in the coastal town category, and first-time attendees, Tranent’s own Blooming Belters, won a Silver Gilt Medal in the medium town section.
