AN ORMISTON man who behaved aggressively towards his partner has been placed on supervision.
Blair Watters, currently staying at McNeill Way in Tranent, acted aggressively towards the woman at the couple’s home at the village’s Clark Buildings.
Watters brandished a knife during the incident and repeatedly punched a number of doors within the property.
The 30-year-old also shouted and swore at the woman and directed abusive comments towards her when the pair clashed on April 14.
Sheriff Peter McCormack heard the facts of the case and decided to place the offender on a two-year supervision order to monitor his behaviour.
The sentence is an alternative to custody and Watters will also have to engage with the Caledonian Men’s Programme, which is a project designed to help men who have committed a domestic offence.
