THE first ever It’s a Knockout Inflatables Challenge is coming to Leuchie House next Saturday (August 31).

The event takes place between 2pm and 5pm on Leuchie’s own grounds near North Berwick.

The inflatable obstacle course aims to unleash participants’ inner child and be a real test of strength, agility, speed and teamwork.

Teams of between six and 10 can take part but bookings must be made in advance.

The cost of entering a team is £200 and forms can be obtained by emailing lbambridge@leuchiehouse.org.uk

Registration for the event begins at 1pm on the day.

The It’s a Knockout arena will be open to the public, with residents invited to go along, watch and enjoy the fun.

There will be games for children, a foodie village, street traders, music and face painting also on offer.

Mark Bevan, Leuchie chief executive, said: “Fundraising is absolutely crucial to Leuchie House and we’re delighted to be hosting such an exciting event to help with our fundraising efforts.

“We have to raise over £1 million a year to just stand still and every donation makes a significant difference to the urgent need of those who visit, helping us to provide quality respite to our guests and their carers.

“We are hugely grateful to sponsors Charles River who have made the event possible and we look forward to a fantastic day here at Leuchie.”
