A DUNBAR man who assaulted a teenage boy at the town’s sports centre has been warned about his future behaviour.
Robert Courtney seized hold of the 13-year-old and pushed him to the ground during a violent exchange at Hallhill Sports Centre in November 2017.
Courtney, of Ash Grove, admitted the offence when he appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last year.
And following a court appearance in January, sentence was deferred for a further six months for him to be of good behaviour.
Sheriff Thomas Welsh was told this week that 39-year-old Courtney had not come into contact with the police since the incident and decided to admonish him on the charge.
Courtney had admitted assaulting the 13-year-old boy by seizing hold of him and pushing him to the ground at Hallhill Sports Centre, Dunbar, on November 17, 2017.
